Who am i?

To start, I’ve been an avid sports fan ever since I was 3 years old, when I had my first ever memory of watching a sports game: Super Bowl XLII.

Hailing from Long Island, NY, I am a die-hard Rangers and Giants fan. Less can be said about the Knicks, as basketball isn’t really my thing. But what about baseball? Well, I may be the only one to say this, but I don’t watch the players, but I watch the umpires! As an umpire myself, the baseball fan in me has slowly died off, as I learn more about the game’s inner workings, rather than batting average and ERA.

My first experience with jerseys came when I was only 4 years old, where I was given an Eli Manning Giants jersey for some special occasion, that of which I cannot recall. Whenever I had access to a computer, I would browse Chris Creamer’s website, looking at all of the different NFL and MLB jerseys, and put them into a PowerPoint. Yes, I was a quirky 4 year old.

My jersey collection started around 1st grade, when I would go with my mother to Kohl’s (yes, Kohl’s) to look at all of the different football jerseys they were selling. I wouldn’t always walk out with one, but just the experience was enough to get me hooked.

The collection really took off around October 2022, when I got my first job. It was my first experience with “adult money”, and I would use said money to purchase jerseys wherever I could find them, whether it be on Mercari, depop, eBay, thrift stores, you name it. Ever since then, I have amassed over 150 jerseys, and the collection is still growing!

My journey with customization began in November 2023, when I purchased my first sewing machine, a Brother CP2160L (I no longer use this hunk of junk, trust me). That same day, I purchase 2 number kits, a Kirill Kaprizov kit for the Minnesota Wild Reverse Retro jersey, and a Luis Arraez kit for the Miami Marlins home jersey. The stitching I did on those kits is comical. Really, it looks like a blind 3 year old did them. Nonetheless, I had started my customization journey, and that is all that mattered.

Ever since then, I have customized over 100 jerseys, sent them to 13 states and 3 countries, and theres much more to come!
